Assembling Everything in Unity June 18 2023


June 18 2023.

Once i finished every asset (animations, background sprites, platforms, etc), i took everything to Unity, the engine i'm using to make the game. My main focus this time was to make it look like a game that is ready to sell, so i spent most of my time making a small level where players can test the basic gameplay i have implemented with the help of my brother, who made every single script. This level already has all the sprites i was planning to make for the background, which are a few trees, clouds and a sky box that is meant to resemble a night sky.  A few one-way platforms were also implemented so i could get rid of the basic assets that Unity already provides us. To make the ground, i drew a big rectangle just to make everything look uniform and with the same style, however, i'm still planning on adding a tileset to have an easier time whenever i start extending the level and to make my game look even better. 

At the moment, the only element that was added to the HUD was a small icon of the character on the upper left corner, this is where i'll place the HP bar. 

The next step is to fix every major bug the game has (which unfortunately are quite a few).
